Opening is the usable gap (flat-to-flat for hex, diameter for hoops). Saved as
on the server.
Set a password to stop others editing or deleting this track. Leave it blank to keep it open β anyone can still load it and save their own copy.
Tick Private for an unreleased track: it stays hidden from everyone (it won't even appear in the Load list) until you untick it. Needs a password.
Anyone with this link can view the track and add their own measurements, but cannot move, add, or delete gates, and cannot save changes.
| Left-drag | Orbit camera |
| Right-drag | Pan camera |
| Scroll | Zoom |
| Click gate | Select |
| Shift/Ctrl+click | Add/remove a gate from the selection (move or rotate them as a group) |

| M | Toggle measure mode |

| π | Show / hide all measurements |
| β€ | Show / hide flight direction arrows. Set a gate's direction in its panel β β Reverse for flat gates; cubes have "In through" / "Out through" faces and show two arrows when the route bends (e.g. in the top, out the front) |
| Esc | Finish measuring / cancel placement / deselect |
| Ctrl+S | Save track |
| π Passwords | Save As can set a password. Protected tracks (π in the Load list) can be loaded by anyone, but editing or deleting one needs its password. Use Save As to keep your own copy instead. |
| π Share | Copy a view-only link (recipients can measure but not change gates) |
| π₯½ VR | Walk the track in a headset at 1:1 scale (appears only when a headset is available). Left stick to move, right stick to snap-turn, and the headset's own menu to leave. Gate editing is locked while you are in VR. |
| β¬ Export | Liftoff race (zip), .glb model for Blender/Unity/Unreal/VR viewers, or .usdz for Quick Look AR on iPhone, iPad and Mac. The 3D formats are real metres, no scaling. |
Measurement clicks on a gate snap to its spot on the floor β the distance you'd tape out when building the track. Shift-click a gate to measure from its opening centre instead. Coordinates are metres from the arena corner.
Gate numbers aren't included β they're flat labels that always face the camera, which a 3D model can't represent.
Extract the zip over %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\LuGus Studios\Liftoff\,
then restart Liftoff. Exporting the same track again replaces this copy rather than adding another.
Quit Steam before deleting Liftoff tracks β Steam Cloud silently restores them.
Exported at true scale β one metre in the designer is one metre in the file.
Gate numbers and distance labels become flat panels facing the middle of the arena, because
glTF has no billboard that turns to face you. Textures travel inside the .glb,
so it is a single self-contained file.
